Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in the Ramkatha and Gau Mahotsav (Cow Festival) organized in Kota on Saturday, in the presence of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, he said that Ramkatha is not just a story, but a school of life. It acquaints us with the duty of a son, the love of a brother, the devotion of a husband, and the responsibilities of a king. He said that by imbibing the ideals of Shri Ram in our lives, we will be able to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ram Rajya.
The Chief Minister said that in our Sanatan culture, there is a tradition of worshipping rivers, mountains, trees, and the cow. He said that we are all fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to the divine Ramkatha. He said that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, with his simple and effective oratory, has lit the lamp of Dharma in the lives of millions of people and has done a wonderful job of taking Sanatan Dharma directly to the hearts of the people. There is a simplicity in Shastri ji’s words that touches the common man. He is introducing the younger generation to the greatness of Sanatan Dharma.
During the event, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a shawl. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Hiralal Nagar, MLA Kalpana Devi, along with saints, mahants, and a large number of devotees were present at the program.
