Madan Rathore raises the issue of Khelo India Policy in the Rajya Sabha, new opportunities will open up for Rajasthan’s athletes

Jaipur. In response to an important question raised by BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore in the Rajya Sabha regarding the Khelo India Policy-2025, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya stated that the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to developing a world-class sports ecosystem in the country. The policy aims to ensure grassroots talent identification, modern sports infrastructure, sports science, high-level training, and the holistic development of athletes.
The Minister informed that training is being provided to athletes through 1,066 Khelo India Centers across the country, and each Khelo India athlete is provided assistance of up to ₹6.28 lakh per year for training, sports science, and other necessary facilities. Private sector participation is also being encouraged, enabling India to further strengthen its preparations for the 2036 Olympics.
Madan Rathore said that this policy will bring new opportunities for Rajasthan’s athletes. With modern training, sports science, nutrition, medical support, and improved sports facilities, the state’s youth will excel in the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games, bringing glory to the country and Rajasthan. He said that the Modi government’s Khelo India policy is not just a medal-winning strategy, but a national campaign to promote fitness, discipline, self-confidence, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth, which will give new energy and direction to the sports culture in Rajasthan.
