BJP government should stop harassing the public in the name of gas cylinder KYC – Pratap Singh Khachariyawas

Jaipur. Former Cabinet Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas launched a scathing attack on the BJP government, saying that first, the kitchens of the poor, middle class, and housewives were attacked by continuously increasing the price of domestic gas cylinders, and now, in the name of KYC, the general public is being harassed by making them stand in unnecessary queues.
Khachariyawas said that forcing consumers who have already completed the KYC process through Aadhaar card, identity card, and mobile verification to visit gas agencies again reflects the government’s anti-people mentality. *The BJP government’s aim is not to provide convenience to the public, but to harass them by making them stand in queues for hours outside offices and agencies.*
He said that inflation has already burdened the public. The rising price of cooking gas has ruined every household’s budget. Now, the government is creating new problems in the name of KYC. The elderly, women, the disabled, and people from remote areas are forced to visit gas agencies. This is a completely insensitive and dictatorial approach.
Khachariyawas said that if a consumer’s KYC is already complete, forcing them to do it again should be stopped. The government should issue clear orders not to unnecessarily harass already verified consumers.
He warned the BJP government that if the harassment of the public in the name of KYC does not stop, the Congress will launch a vigorous movement against this anti-people policy from the streets to the House of Assembly and raise the voice of the common people.
The BJP government has completely failed to provide relief to the public. Now, after inflation, it is also robbing people of their time, money, and dignity in the name of KYC. The public will surely respond to this injustice in the upcoming elections.
