Information provided on investment prospects and land allotment procedures in the state

The State View | Sunil Sharma                      Jaipur: As part of the ongoing efforts by the Rajasthan Foundation—the department dedicated to engaging and coordinating with the expatriate Rajasthani community—a virtual dialogue program was organized on Tuesday, June 23, at RIICO, Udyog Bhawan. More than 200 participants, including investors and representatives from Rajasthan Foundation chapters and expatriate Rajasthani organizations across India and abroad, took part in the event.

The meeting commenced with congratulations and best wishes extended to the chairpersons—nominated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan—of the 14 newly formed Rajasthan Foundation chapters across the country and overseas.

During the session, RIICO officials delivered detailed presentations regarding investment opportunities and the land allotment process in Rajasthan. Comprehensive presentations covered the Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA), development and investment prospects in the Rajasthan Petro Zone, provisions related to land cost recovery, opportunities available under the ‘Plug and Play’ model, and the “Raj Nivesh Portal.” Additionally, senior officials from RIICO, the Industries Department, and BIP provided detailed answers to questions raised by the participants.

Dr. Manisha Arora, Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation, stated that regular virtual meetings are being organized to facilitate dialogue with expatriate Rajasthanis. Expatriates living in India and abroad have expressed a strong desire to explore investment opportunities and expand their businesses within their home state. Notably, the Surat Chapter of the Rajasthan Foundation has made significant contributions to the state’s ongoing “Karmabhumi se Matrubhumi Abhiyan” (Campaign from Workplace to Motherland). The role of expatriate Rajasthanis in the “Vande Ganga Abhiyan” and as education-sector philanthropists (*Bhamashahs*) is also highly commendable.
