Directives Issued to Ensure the Event’s Success Through Maximum Public Participation

On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the tradition of celebrating ‘Rajasthan Day’ on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada was initiated last year. Continuing this tradition, the State Government will organize various programs across the state from March 14 to March 19 this year to mark Rajasthan Day on March 19. As part of this series of events, a state-level ‘Viksit Rajasthan Run 2026’ will be organized in Jaipur on March 15, which will be flagged off by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Additionally, the ‘Viksit Rajasthan Run’ will also be organized simultaneously in all districts across the state.
A meeting regarding the preparations for the successful organization of the ‘Viksit Rajasthan Run’ was held on Thursday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, presided over by Neeraj K. Pawan, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. During the meeting, he directed officials from the concerned departments to complete all necessary preparations for the event’s success within a stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that the effective implementation of the responsibilities assigned to each department must be ensured so that the event can be conducted in a systematic, safe, and successful manner.
He issued directives to ensure maximum participation from the general public, the youth, and students in the ‘Viksit Rajasthan Run,’ thereby enabling the event to be celebrated as a grand public festival driven by community engagement. The meeting involved detailed discussions regarding the event’s outline, logistical arrangements, and the specific responsibilities of various departments, following which necessary guidelines were issued.
He further informed that the run will commence from the area opposite the Amar Jawan Jyoti (Janpath), complete a full loop around the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, proceed along Tonk Road via Rambagh Circle, pass through Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Circle, and conclude back at the Amar Jawan Jyoti. A target has been set to achieve the participation of approximately 50,000 young people in this event. Participants in the program will include students from universities, colleges, and schools, as well as youth volunteers from various organizations such as the NSS, NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Hindustan Scouts and Guides, and NYKS. Members, as well as youth and athletes from government and non-governmental organizations, will participate.
Officials and representatives from the departments of School Education, Technical Education, Tourism, NCC, Higher Education, and allied departments were present at the meeting.
