Allotment of 4 plots in Subhash Nagar cancelled. Today, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, a regular public hearing was held at the Kota Development Authority premises under the chairmanship of Commissioner Mamta Tiwari. Citizens from various areas presented their problems at the public hearing, which the Commissioner listened to seriously and directed the concerned officials to take necessary action. A total of 52 cases were registered at the public hearing. The major issues included issuance of land lease, name transfer, building construction approval, rehabilitation, lease deed, development of infrastructure, road and drain construction and other development related issues.  Some of these cases were resolved on the spot, while the remaining cases were scheduled for the next public hearing and the concerned officials were instructed to ensure timely resolution. Following previous complaints, the problems of waterlogging, dirt, and mosquitoes caused by long-standing vacant plots in various areas of the city were taken seriously. In this regard, plot numbers 1137, 1157, 1159, and 1160 in the Subhash Nagar Housing Scheme were inspected. The allottees had not started construction on these plots even after the stipulated period and had not provided satisfactory explanations despite previous notices. Consequently, keeping public interest in mind, the Authority has cancelled the allotment of the four plots with immediate effect. Strict action is being taken in accordance with the rules for identifying other such vacant plots in the city. Similarly, the sale of land in the Defence Housing Cooperative Society Limited, Kota’s housing scheme, Defence Colony, located on Bandha Dharampura Road, has been pending for several years.  The process of issuing permissions and leases has been restarted. Apart from this, administrative and financial approval of about Rs 7 crore has been issued for the development of basic facilities in the colony, due to which the residents of the area will be able to get essential civic amenities soon. The Commissioner directed that no laxity will be acceptable in solving public problems and timely and effective disposal of all cases should be ensured. During the public hearing, Authority Secretary Mukesh Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner Harshit Verma, Malvika Tyagi along with all the directors, tehsildars and other concerned officers were present.
