Cabinet Minister honors Gargi Award-winning students

16 donors and philanthropists also honored

Hind Raftaar Sumerpur/Jaipur(Sunil sharma)The annual function and philanthropist felicitation ceremony of Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Sumerpur, was held on Saturday under the chief guestship of Cabinet Minister Joraram Kumawat of the Animal Husbandry, Cow Rearing, Dairy, and Devasthan Department.  At the ceremony, Class 10 student Priya Sohan Singh was honored with the Gargi Award. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1100 and a medal.  Nine meritorious students of Class 12 who secured more than 75% marks were honored with the Girls’ Encouragement Award. All 10 girls were encouraged with cash prizes of Rs. 1100 and Rs. 500 respectively by Principal Dimple Chaudhary.  Cabinet Minister Joraram Kumawat also honored 16 donors and philanthropists for their contributions to the advancement of education. He honored the philanthropists by presenting them with mementos, turbans, and garlands.  A total of 110 students who excelled in various competitions and secured first and second positions in their respective classes, as well as the best disciplined student, were also honored with medals.  Teachers who achieved excellent examination results in various subjects and participants in the district-level programs of Independence Day and Republic Day were also felicitated.  In the program, Cabinet Minister Kumawat encouraged the honored students and said that along with education, sports and cultural activities play an important role in personality development. He congratulated and extended best wishes to the philanthropists who contributed to the development of the school, saying that the support of philanthropists is a strong foundation for the school’s progress. Mr. Kumawat said that inspired by them, other people in society will also be motivated to contribute to the field of education.  The program was attended by Tehsildar Himanshu Kachhawa, BCMO Govind Singh Chundawat, BJP District Vice President Poonam Singh, Principals Dimple Chaudhary and Dimple Bhati, outgoing Municipal Vice President Chaturbhuj Sharma, Mandal President Ravikant Rawal, outgoing Zila Parishad member Shivraj Singh, philanthropists Harish Rathi, Divyansh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar Dewasi, Madhav, Takht Singh Rathore, along with teachers, parents, villagers, and a large number of students.
