*Village Development Camps Give New Momentum to Rural Development: Chief Secretary*

Over 6.59 lakh villagers benefited from schemes in 941 camps
Jaipur, January 30. A review meeting on the progress of the Gram Utthan (Village Development) camps being held across the state was held on Friday at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. A detailed review of the effective implementation of the camps, department-wise and district-wise, was conducted in the meeting.
The Chief Secretary said that through the Gram Utthan camps organized by the state government, farmers, livestock owners, and rural families are being directly connected with the welfare schemes of the central and state governments. In the first three days of the camps, camps were organized in 941 Girdawar circles of the state, in which more than 6,59,208 villagers participated.
He informed that the benefits of schemes from 13 major departments, including agriculture, horticulture, agricultural marketing, animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, cooperation, water resources, energy, industry, rural development, and panchayati raj, are being provided to the common people through these camps. The remaining Gram Utthan camps will be held on January 31, February 1, and from February 5 to 9, through which 2,839 Girdawar circles of the state will be covered.
Extensive benefits in agriculture and animal husbandry sectors
The Agriculture Department provided information on crop insurance to 2.26 lakh farmers and on MSP to 2.33 lakh villagers. Verification of the distribution of more than 1.80 lakh seed minikits was also completed. The Animal Husbandry Department provided treatment to 2.60 lakh animals, registered 47,000 animals under the Chief Minister Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana (Chief Minister’s Animal Insurance Scheme), and conducted more than 20,000 vaccinations.
Notable achievements in energy, cooperation, and panchayati raj
Applications were filled for 19,025 eligible families under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana (Prime Minister’s Solar Home Scheme). The Cooperation Department approved 15,000 new Kisan Credit Cards, 25,000 membership applications, and opened more than 4,100 bank accounts. The Panchayati Raj Department has distributed over 32,000 ownership cards.
In the camps, application forms for activities planned for the coming year are being prepared, and information is being provided on the current status of this year’s grant applications and departmental schemes. Simultaneously, timely resolution of complex cases is being ensured. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, all applications are being processed transparently, efficiently, and within a stipulated timeframe, ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach rural citizens.
