Jaipur. BJP workers staged a strong protest in Jaipur on Monday against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP state officials, Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, and SC Morcha workers marched from the BJP state headquarters to Chaumun House Circle, raising slogans against the Congress party, expressing their anger. During the protest, BJP workers burned Kharge’s effigy and demanded a public apology from the Congress leadership. BJP workers raised slogans like “Down with Rahul Gandhi,” “India will not tolerate the insult of the Prime Minister,” and “Rahul Gandhi, apologize.” Led by State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagdi, the BJP workers marched from the State Office to the Congress Office. Police barricaded the Chaumun House Circle to stop them. During the protest, workers registered their protest against the Congress leadership by hitting Kharge’s effigy with shoes.

BJP State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagdi said that political opposition is an integral part of democracy, but using abusive language against a person holding a constitutional position like the Prime Minister is the height of incivility. In a democracy, expressing disagreement should be done through reasoning, dialogue, and a battle of ideas, not personal sarcasm and derogatory remarks. Bagri said that Kharge’s use of abusive language like “Modi’s father will also go” for the Prime Minister is extremely shameful. The statements of Congress leaders reflect their political frustration and desperation. The mandate is steadily slipping from Congress’s hands, and the party is grappling with internal strife, leading its leaders to disregard political decorum.
BJP State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagri said that Congress repeatedly turns political rivalry into personal comments. In a democracy, it is the responsibility of both the ruling party and the opposition to maintain the dignity of political discourse. Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds one of the highest positions in the country’s constitutional system. Criticism from the opposition should also be in a dignified manner. He demanded that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge publicly apologize for his remarks.

BJP State Minister Dr. Apurva Singh said that the Congress leadership should introspect on its statements and ensure the use of respectful language towards the Prime Minister of the country. Political protest is welcome in a democracy, but personal insults and uncivilized language are unacceptable. Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, and the entire Congress party should apologize for this act. Present during the protest were BJP office in-charge Mukesh Pareek, BJP media in-charge Pramod Vashisht, Mahila Morcha President Rakhi Rathore, Yuva Morcha President Shankar Gora, Jaipur City District President Amit Goyal, along with numerous BJP officials, youth workers, and Mahila Morcha workers.
