Foundation stones laid for development works worth crores—spanning roads, health, education, sports, drinking water, and irrigation—set to transform the district’s landscape

Rajsamand: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma bestowed a major development gift upon Rajsamand district by laying the foundation stones for ambitious projects worth crores of rupees, covering sectors such as roads, health, education, sports, drinking water, irrigation, and sanitation. The Chief Minister stated that the state government aims to bring the light of development to every village and city in the state, and providing quality basic amenities to the common people is the government’s top priority. He emphasized that development work is not limited merely to constructing buildings and roads; rather, it represents a commitment to improving the standard of living for the public and strengthening the state’s future.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma laid the foundation stones for various development projects across the Nathdwara, Rajsamand, Bhim, and Kumbhalgarh assembly constituencies. These include hundreds of works related to roads, health, drinking water, education, sports, irrigation, and sanitation, which will directly benefit lakhs of people in the district.In the Nathdwara region, foundation stones were laid for 52 projects—including a sports stadium and various road construction works—at a cost of approximately ₹38 crore. The Chief Minister remarked that modern sports facilities would play a crucial role in elevating the talent of the youth to national and international levels.
To strengthen healthcare services, construction work began on 38 new health center buildings at a cost exceeding ₹34 crore. Additionally, a 50-bed Maternal and Child Health (MCH) unit will be established in Bhim at a cost of ₹21 crore, ensuring better medical facilities for mothers and newborns in the area. The construction of a new Community Health Center building in Tal was also approved.In the Bhim assembly constituency, foundation stones were laid for a sports stadium and 49 road construction projects costing around ₹31 crore, while in the Kumbhalgarh region, foundation stones were laid for 34 road development projects costing over ₹23 crore.The Chief Minister stated that a robust road network would accelerate development and improve connectivity in rural areas.
To strengthen the drinking water supply system, 49 drinking water projects worth over ₹17 crore were launched in Rajsamand, Kumbhalgarh, and Nathdwara. Additionally, momentum will be given to initiatives such as the Khari Feeder Canal, laying pipelines to provide tap water to every household, and constructing open wells, dams, anicuts, and canals. Work was also initiated on the survey and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Bedach Ka Naka Dam in the Kumbhalgarh region, as well as the implementation of a rural water supply scheme.
In the education sector, 35 projects involving the development of infrastructure in schools and colleges across Rajsamand, Kumbhalgarh, Bhim, and Nathdwara will be undertaken at a cost of approximately ₹15 crore. Meanwhile, projects such as the construction of a Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) in Devgarh, waste management systems, an STP plant, and the construction and repair of Anganwadi centers and school buildings will give a new direction to the district’s overall development.
Furthermore, foundation stones were laid for 59 projects related to road and school development in Rajsamand, Bhim, Kumbhalgarh, and Nathdwara, costing over ₹47 crore. Foundation stones were also laid for 37 road construction projects worth ₹25 crore within the Rajsamand Municipal Council area.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state government is continuously working to realize the vision of a “Developed Rajasthan” (Viksit Rajasthan) on the ground. He noted that development works are being carried out across the state without discrimination, and resources are being provided to every region according to its specific needs. He expressed confidence that upon the completion of these projects, infrastructure in Rajsamand district would expand significantly, new employment opportunities would be created, and a positive change would be brought about in the lives of the common people. This package of development works will prove to be a significant step towards establishing Rajsamand as a modern, well-equipped, and prosperous district. MLAs Surendra Singh Rathore, Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, and Vishvaraj Singh Mewar, along with other public representatives and a large number of citizens, were present at the event.
