District Collector Directs Officials to Improve Rankings

Jaipur. A district-level review meeting was held on Friday at the District Collectorate Auditorium to assess the effective implementation of flagship schemes and the 20-Point Programme. The meeting was presided over by District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni. During the meeting, a compliance report regarding instructions issued in the previous meeting, the department-wise progress of various flagship schemes, and the status of the 20-Point Programme were reviewed.
During the meeting, under the scheme aimed at extending NFSA benefits to newly eligible families, the District Collector directed the District Supply Officers (Urban and Rural) to ensure effective monitoring by regularly sharing progress reports with Sub-Divisional Officers and Deputy Commissioners of the Municipal Corporation, and to ensure an improvement in the district’s ranking by March 2026.
Chief Planning Officer Dr. Sudeep Kumawat stated that instructions were issued during the meeting to accelerate progress in the Energy Department’s ‘KUSUM Scheme’ and ‘Revamped Distribution Sector Schemes,’ as well as to ensure the speedy resolution of inter-departmental issues. Expressing dissatisfaction over the Department of Women Empowerment’s ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana’ holding a state-level ranking of 37th, the District Collector issued directives to improve this ranking by March 2026.
He further informed that instructions have been issued to improve the district’s ranking by March 2026 by expediting the construction work of ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. Noting that the district’s performance in the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), SVAMITVA Scheme, Chief Minister Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) was unsatisfactory, the District Collector directed the concerned officials to accelerate the implementation of these schemes to improve the district’s rankings. Expressing dissatisfaction over the district’s 39th state-level ranking in governance under the ‘Chief Minister’s Educated Rajasthan Campaign,’ he directed the concerned officials to complete their mandated targets for school inspections within three days. During the meeting, instructions were issued to expedite the commencement of pending works under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana’ and the ‘Atal Pragati Path Yojana’ to ensure rapid progress.
While reviewing the progress of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban),’ the District Collector directed the Regional Deputy Director of the Department of Local Self-Government to coordinate with relevant departments to ensure swift advancement. He further instructed the official to review schemes related to urban local bodies and ensure improvements are achieved by March 2026. He noted that while work under ‘Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan’ is proceeding in accordance with the set targets, additional efforts are still required to achieve better progress compared to other districts.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the progress of the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ and the ‘AMRUT Scheme,’ the District Collector directed officials to accelerate the pace of work and ensure an improvement in the district’s ranking by March 2026. Furthermore, noting the district’s 24th state-level ranking under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana,’ the concerned departments were directed to formulate an action plan to boost progress by March 2026.
During the meeting, instructions were issued to ensure the timely and rule-compliant utilization of funds received from the state level under the ‘Panch-Gaurav Yojana,’ as well as to maximize the enrollment of beneficiaries under the scheme. The District Collector directed officials to improve performance indicators related to the Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council (RRLDC) under the ‘Twenty-Point Programme’ and to ensure that actions are executed in strict alignment with the targets allocated by the state government. All departments were directed to formulate scheme-specific action plans to ensure the achievement of 100% of their respective targets by March 2026.
Finally, the District Collector directed those departments whose flagship schemes currently hold a state-level ranking lower than 20—or whose performance is otherwise deemed unsatisfactory—to submit a point-wise explanatory note detailing the reasons for the low ranking to the Chief Planning Officer, Collectorate Jaipur, by March 19.
He further instructed these low-ranking departments to ensure a tangible improvement in their rankings by achieving the requisite progress by the end of March. Additionally, instructions were issued to the Chief Planning Officer to convene an inter-departmental meeting during the coming week to resolve inter-departmental issues concerning flagship schemes. Chief Executive Officer Pratibha Verma, Additional District Collector Mukesh Kumar Moond, and other concerned officials were present at the meeting.
