Factory Safety Awards to 15 industrial units, safety booklet e-released

Jaipur. The 55th National Safety Day state-level celebration was held on Wednesday at the Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration (HCM-RIPA). Chief guest of the event, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, described the adoption of a safety culture in industries as the need of the hour, saying that a safe workplace is the foundation of industrial development.

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa also stated that a safe and robust industrial environment is essential to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Developed India 2047.” Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is continuously making efforts to strengthen safety standards in industries and ensure a safe working environment for workers.

Dr. Premchand Bairwa stated that safe workplaces not only ensure the safety of workers’ lives but also play a vital role in increasing industrial productivity and the country’s economic development. He stated that the objective of National Safety Day is to increase safety awareness among workers in industries and institutions and strengthen a safe work culture.

He called upon industrial units to adopt measures such as modern technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), sensor-based monitoring, and real-time monitoring. He stated that these technologies can reduce the likelihood of accidents by identifying potential hazards in time and further strengthening the safety culture at workplaces.

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa stated that strict adherence to safety rules in industrial units, timely assessment of potential hazards, and the use of modern technologies are extremely helpful in preventing accidents. He urged industries to provide regular safety training to workers and employees and pay special attention to ensuring safe workplaces. On this occasion, he also e-released a booklet on safety awareness.

Under the Factory Safety Awards Scheme-2026, units demonstrating outstanding performance in the field of industrial safety were honored at the event. A total of 15 industrial units selected in the large, medium, and small categories were presented with Factory Safety Awards. Dr. Premchand Bairwa stated that industries adopting high safety standards not only ensure worker safety but also foster industrial development. The event was organized under the joint auspices of the Factories and Boilers Inspection Department and the National Safety Council, Rajasthan State Chapter.

Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, Harish Kumar Gupta, Deputy Chief Inspector and Vice President of the National Safety Council, Rajasthan Chapter, Harish Shankar, along with officials, experts, and representatives from various industrial units and institutions, members of the National Safety Council, and officers and employees of the Factory and Boilers Inspection Department were present at the event.
